Not in a book yet, but I just had to put this in early.  This bird is an E-MEW, not an emoo.  Please.  It's very sensitive.

Sounds a bit like "You can lick us."  Pronounced you-cal-IPT-us.  With a name like that, you can understand why Australians often prefer to call them gum trees.  These are Australian native trees with a very tangy, clean scent and dark red sap that shines like amber when it dries.  There are a great many types and they are found all over Australia.  They don't lose their leaves but in times of stress they are known to drop branches.
